Vivien has over 30 years’ experience in HR and has worked for a variety of firms including chartered surveyors, cosmetics, breweries and security and has achieved both Lexcel and Investors in People accreditation for her current law firm. All of which is something her teacher would never have dreamt possible! Having left school with two O' levels and the words of her teaching saying she would never amount to anything ringing in her ears, her earlier career was one of set-backs and hurdles, but also of a will to succeed. Having done her college degree in the evenings and working hard, this mother of two is now an MA in HR Management, Fellow of the CIPD and Head of HR in a leading regional law firm. As her talk will show, it is never too late to better yourself.
