Background

Vodafone Group Plc is the world's leading mobile telecommunications company, with a significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States through the Company's subsidiary undertakings, joint ventures, associated undertakings and investments.

In today's highly networked and matrixed organisations, relationships are the name of the game Getting things done and getting ahead is all about getting connected, building the right relationships and letting key people know who you are and what you are about.

Get Connected is a leadership program to enable Directors to network, build connected relationships and profile themselves more effectively and authentically internally and externally. It has been run both as a ‘women only’ and mixed gender group with participants from the UK, across Europe and The Middle East.

Get Connected helps address a critical business issue: how to recruit, retain and develop talented people within Vodafone.

Issue

These are some of the main objectives addressed through Get Connected:

• Gain a more inspirational level of leadership presence with senior decision makers at Vodafone.

• Learn to sell yourself authentically and gain new key relationships, mentors, role models and supporters across Vodafone and externally.

• Know your own personal 'Brand’ and how to profile yourself & your achievements.

• Get clear about your unique skills, strengths and talent to authentically work with them across the business.

• Build new relationships across functions and create a Vodafone wide ‘Success Network’.

• Find new ways to overcome some of your key challenges and achieve your objectives.

• Gather practical ideas and ‘top tips’ to develop your network and personal profile.
